A Review of the “The Smartest Credit Card Ever Made”

Like we’ve all been saying, the world needs another credit card. We don’t have enough to choose from.

All jokes aside, the more than 200,000 people on the wait list signed up for the X1 — the sleek new credit card made with 17g of pure stainless steel — for a reason. That reason is not the substantial clunk sound it makes when you drop it.

The X1 Credit Card already has a wait list of more than 200,000 people. The cool design is part of it, but that can’t be it…

tldr: X1 Credit Card has $0 in annual fees, 2x points on every dollar spent (3x if you spend $15,000+ a year or more on it), lowest APR range in class, and intelligent features for managing spend.

Sign up here to get on the wait list.

My first exposure to the X1 was through David Sacks, a renowned Venture Capitalist and investor in X1 (also a co-founder of this little company called ‘PayPal’). This is where credibility matters. In most cases I would scroll through a post advertising fintech ‘innovation’ that’s essentially another credit card, but David Sacks is not your average Joe.

His tweet included a few remarkable facts about the card that intrigued me enough to ‘bookmark it’ for when I had more time to do a deep dive into the stats on it. Here are a few of the benefits he mentions.
