Cohousing vs. Coliving — What’s the Difference? An Interview with Karin Hoskin, Executive Director of CoHo.US
I miss sports (if you’re reading this, it was written at the end of April and I haven’t seen a live sporting event in months due to the coronavirus. Need some competition!)
So much so that I pressed Karin Hoskin, Executive Director of CoHo.US, a non-profit dedicated to the health and expansion of cohousing, on whether there was a rivalry between Coliving and Cohousing.
Karin assured me no such rivalry existed. She also explained that they both fall under the umbrella of intentional communities. Under that umbrella are communes, co-ops and cooperative living as well. She highlighted a few differences between the two, of which you can see below.
